2025 Grande Parade!
Let's have a Grand Olde Time
On Lake Stevens Main Street
The Grande Parade is an Aquafest favorite! It is one of the
best summer parades in the Pacific Northwest and provides our community with a unique opportunity and experience. The Aquafest Grande Parade is an annual part of our festival run by volunteers and dependent upon donations so that our ever growing city does not lose our small town feel and sense of belonging.
It’s more than a processional, our Grande Parade, draws
out many from our community to participate. Local school and regional football teams and cheerleaders, bands and classic cars, community service organizations and local businesses proudly enter their walkers, trucks and floats, it’s a collective effort.
TIME: 1pm
WHERE: The parade will line up and start on Hartford,
adjacent to the Fire Station and triangle lot, and make its way through Main Street; Turn left at 18th St NE (between Buzz Inn and the Post Office); Turn left again on 127th Ave NE and end at 20th St NE.
PARADE HUB: The “hub” or focal point of the Grande Parade will be in front of The Mill on Main Street. This is where entries will be judged for their entered category (optional). We will have a sound system for parade announcements on Main Street only.
PARADE WILL TURN:
Once the parade turns left on 18th St NE - the entries will be spaced out as those entries being judged will have their 3 minutes to perform in front of the judges on Main Street. You are welcome to watch the parade on 18th St NE and/or 127th Ave NE, but at those locations, it is probable that you will not be able to hear the announcements being made through the sound system on Main Street.
Registration is now open and closes on July 8th at 8 PM
We have several categories to enter and you can be judged on your entry. You may choose NOT to be judged and just entertain us! Being judged is absolutely optional and not required. However, being judged may well earn you bragging rights if you place 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the category of your choice AND you will get a framed certificate to prove it!
