Miss Aquafest Pageant

Miss Aquafest is a pageant that is held each year. The Pageant is a part of Aquafest but the participants work all year long doing community service.  There are several age groupings for the young ladies that participate each year. There is also a category of Lifetime Queen. Over the years there have been several Lifetime Queens. They continue to mentor the Aquafest ladies each year, even while away form the area.

What I Love About Being Miss Aquafest Royalty
Lifetime Queen - Ellie Behn

What I love about being in Miss Aquafest is our involvement in our community, especially during Covid. This is my 10TH YEAR being Miss Aquafest Royalty and I love it as much today as the day I was crowned. I guess you could call me the OG. This program is truly about family and making lifelong friends while learning how to give back and share kindness and joy to those in need.

Even if we couldn't accomplish as much as we normally could, I still enjoyed every moment we got  to spend together helping others. My royalty sisters and I volunteered at Sorticulture, Wheels on the Waterfront, Lake Stevens Farmers Market, Lake Stevens Harvest Festival and Volunteers of America Western Washington and so many more. It really filled my heart with love and hope that we were making a difference and it felt great that we got to give back to my community again even during a pandemic.

This has been a busy year for me and Covid sure didn’t make it easy. I’m a senior at LSHS and a UW AP student planning on attending college and major in Psychology in the fall. I’m in the amazing LSHS Viking band, on the LSHS Drumline and working so my schedule has been a bit crazy but I try to find as much time as possible to be with my royalty sisters and give back to the community. I can't wait to see what this upcoming year has in store for us and how we can continue to help those in need and out community.

THE AQUAFEST FESTIVAL IS BACK this year so come meet the royalty in person and say Hi! July 29-31, 2022!
