Aquafest is organized by a dedicated group of volunteers who donate their time year-round to bring this 57-year community tradition to life.
The Aquafest Association of Lake Stevens is a 501(c)(4) civic organization.
Chris Jacobson
President
Chris Jacobson has worked in the electronic security and technology industry since 1999 and has been part of Convergint since 2010. He also serves as Vice President of the Lake Stevens Food Bank Board and is an active Rotarian and member of the Lake Stevens Rowing Club.
Jeff Pegrum
Vice President
Jeff Pegrum helps support event logistics and coordination, including the Boat Parade. A retired Fire Captain who was raised in Lake Stevens, he is also co-founder of Lake Stevens Charitable Thrift and passionate about serving the community he calls home.
Rickelle Pegrum
Vice President
Rickelle Pegrum helps coordinate committees, volunteers, and community partnerships. Originally from Spokane, she is also active in the Lake Stevens Rotary, the Chamber of Commerce, the Festival of Trees board, and is co-founder of Lake Stevens Charitable Thrift.
Mariah Low
Treasurer
Mariah Low has served on the Aquafest executive board since 2018 in multiple roles, including Treasurer, President, and Past President. A dedicated Lake Stevens resident, she actively volunteers with numerous community organizations and events.
Rachele Horner
Secretary
Rachele Horner is a leader at Boeing focused on Lean transformation and operational excellence. She is also deeply involved in community leadership, volunteering with Imagine Children's Museum and the Lake Stevens Rowing Club.
Ashley Dreager
Marketing Director
Ashley Dreager leads overall marketing strategy, content planning, and creative campaigns. A Snohomish County native and Lake Stevens resident since 2021, she is passionate about creating magical summer festival memories for the next generation.
Ken Cross
Sponsorship Chair
Ken Cross supports Aquafest as Sponsorship Chair and assists with facilities coordination. A retired Boeing Flight Analyst specializing in electronics and systems analysis, he helps build partnerships that support the festival and community.
Cindy Lemos
Marketing Ops & Project Coordinator
Cindy Lemos supports Aquafest with marketing operations and project coordination. A Lake Stevens resident since 2015 and mom of twins, she brings experience in technology, marketing, market research, and operations.
We're always looking for enthusiastic community members to join the planning committee. Committee members meet monthly (more frequently as the festival approaches) and help shape the future of Aquafest. No experience necessary — just a love for Lake Stevens and a willingness to help!
